Birla Shikshan Sansthan, Jodhpur laid the foundation of R.K. Public School at Jodhpur in year 1979-80. Later it spread its branches at various cities of Rajasthan in different years as : Pali- 1980-81; Barmer 1987-88; Phalodi 1990-91 & Pal Road, Jodhpur 1992-93. All the schools are English Medium & co-educational, affiliated to the Rajasthan Board, Ajmer. Proving its academic excellence, the schools are giving 100% Board results with maximum I divisions, Merits, Ranks, and remaining II divisions.

Academics

Pre-Primary Section

The class rooms are well decorated & equipped with special furniture ideal for kids. Children learn through a combination of games, songs, and creative projects. An extra effort is devoted to correct body language of the young ones. Story-telling & role playing, drawings & tracing, creative patterns & developing skills of measurement, all contribute to the laying of a sure-foundation for the higher classes. Modern scientific approach the audio visual aids and play way methods are used to develop speech phonics as also group etiquette and social instincts. It is noteworthy we exert stress on phonics and sight learning right from the base classes.

Primary & Upper Primary Section

Focussing on activity based education, we inculcate confidence in learning skills, reading, writing, listening, speaking & observation. Children are encouraged to speak & perform at assembly & concerts. They are prepared to meet the challenge of higher classes.

Secondary & Senior Secondary Section

The school is giving 100% result at Secondary & Senior Secondary Board Examination level every year with maximum I Divisions, Merits, Ranks & remaining II Divisions. School provides Commerce, Arts & Science streams. The senior school follows the RBSE syllabus. Here too the endeavour is to make learning more child centric & interesting. While the focus is on preparing students for board exams, inputs are also given so that they are prepared to join good universities.

Jodhpur Branch Academics

In 1995-96 Jaya Chhatwani stood on 3rd Rank in Rajasthan Board of Secondary Examination.

In the same session that is 1995-96 more than 80% students got place in the First Hundred places in Board of Secondary Examination.

In 1997 Ravi Taparia got 15th Rank in the Board of Senior Secondary Examination (Commerce Section)

In the Session 1997-98 about 81% students secured their places in first hundred in Board of Secondary Examination.

In the Session 2005-06 almost 95% students secured distinctions in various subjects.

In session 2009-10, Suman Songra of class XII Commerce was awarded with 51000/- & 60000/- cash prize from state & Central Govt. total worth Rs.1,11,000/- for securing I position in Jodhpur District Rajasthan.

Our school presents a unique combination of academic and co-curricular activities. Throughout the year the students get numerous outlets to express and nurture their talents.

The School is divided in 4 houses and the students are encouraged to participate in inter-house activities and competitions like classroom decoration, Fancy Dress, Debates, Declamation, Dance, Music, Essay writing, Calligraphy, Quiz, Salad dressing, Rangoli, Mehandi & much more.

Celebration of important National festivals, Annual Day and cultural Programmes. Picnics, Excursions and Tours are organised for children and informative films are also shown to them.

A futuristic and progressive approach towards education is implemented, by developing the child's interests in role-play, story sessions, puppet shows and many cultural function.

We train our students in Yoga, where stress free learning and physical fitness is promoted.

Students are trained for spoken English wherein it is compulsory for all to address the assembly roll number-wise.
